Little Red Riding Hood. A classic tale. But there's more to every story than meets the eye. Our story begins at Granny's house in the Big woods. You are the assistant to the renowned Private Investigator Nicky Flippers, helping him solve the case of the Goody Bandit.

The Good Bandit has been terrorizing the sweet tooth of all the critters in the forest, stealing precious recipes and driving sweet shops out of business one by one. No one knows who they are, and that's what you're determined to find out.

You enter Granny's house with Mr. Flippers, and see Red Reding Hood, Granny, the Wolf, and the Huntsman all sitting in the living room being detained by the cops. Chief Grizzly comes over to give you the low-down on the situation. Earlier this day, there was a massive confrontation between the four, and the case has the Goody Bandit's scent all over it. Grizzly is determined to arrest all four of the detainees, but Mr. Flippers has another idea.
[[Flippers' idea|Flippers]]
Red says her story started off like pretty much any other day. She was delivering cookies for her Granny.
<img src="https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/hoodwinked/images/a/a0/Hoodwinked-boingo-red-bicycle.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/640?cb=20151030230224" width="400px" height="300px" alt="Red biking">
Red's Granny owns one of the biggest sweet companies around: Granny Puckett's Goodies. They're "unlawfully delicious" as the motto says. Red lives deep down in the forest, while her Granny lives up higher in the mountains, so oftentimes Red and her bunny friend Boingo will ride around on Red's bike, delivering the goodies to hungry creatures in the forest. She and Boingo finished up delivering the goodies for the day, and Red gave Boingo a carrot crumpet before he had to hop off to his job working for the Muffin Man. She spent some time up in her treehouse reading a book on "Far Away Places," daydreaming about traveling outside of the forest for once, before hearing a loud crash and shattering sound down below at her house.
[[Check out the sound|crash]]The Wolf strides in, and Flippers stares at him before saying: "I recognize you."
"Is he a criminal?" asks one of the police officers.
"Worse. He's a reporter." Flippers says mildly.
"I am, and that's what got me into this mess," says the Wolf. "I'm here to tell you the real story."
<img src="http://www.thepaepae.com/wp-uploads/2010/04/Wolf-Hoodwinked.jpg" width="400px" height="300px" alt="the wolf">
[[Hear the Wolf's story|leads]]The Huntsman lumbers in and introduces himself with a happy smile as Kurt.
<img src="https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/hoodwinked/images/9/9c/Hoodwinked_Kirk.png/revision/latest?cb=20151109025209" width="400px" height="300px" alt="Kirk">
"Hello Kirk. Can you explain to us why you were in the woods swinging an axe around today?" asks Mr. Flippers politely.
"I got a callback!" exclaims Kirk the Huntsman with glee.
There's silence in the room.
"...a what?" asks Chief Grizzly.
"A callback," says Flippers. "We have ourselves an actor."
[[Hear about Kirk's callback|callback]]Holding a mug of tea, Granny walks towards the room. As she takes her seat, one of the police officers calls out to you all from another room in the house.
"Take a look at this, Chief!" he says.
Everyone, including the 3 other suspects, head into the other room to see what he's found. He's standing in front of a closet that's filled to the brim with trophies and plaques and medals that are all for various extreme sports. Everyone is shocked.
Flippers turns to Granny, inviting her to explain her trophies.
<img src="https://www.wcostream.com/thumbs/hoodwinked.jpg" width="400px" height="300px" alt="granny">
"It's true," she says. "I never was like the other grannies, with their knitting and doilies. I'd rather live life... to the extreme."
Red looks betrayed, clearly never having seen this side of her Granny before.
"Are you joking, Granny?" Red spits out. "You didn't even want me going in a cable car up the mountain, and you're out here living this secret double life?"
"I'm sorry sweet pea," says Granny. "I just didn't want you all to worry."
"Didn't you think I would have wanted more out of life? I've never even been outside the forest," says Red.
"Of course you would," Granny replies with a fondness in her voice. "You're a Puckett."
"I don't even know what that means anymore." Red leaves to another room, clearly hurt by Granny's lies.
Granny sighs, and gets ready to tell her tale.
[[Listen to Granny's story|ski]]Sprinting to her house, Red saw that someone had thrown a rock through the window. Stepping inside, she picked up the rock. On it, someone had painted the words "you're next" in big letters. Peering across the street, Red saw her neighbor who ran a little pastry shop shaking his head sadly as he put up a sign on his door reading "Closed - Forever. Goody Bandit got us." Red knew that this rock must have been thrown by the mysterious Goody Bandit, threatening to steal Granny Puckett's recipes. And Red wasn't about to let that happen.
[[Call Granny|cable car]]Red called Granny, but Granny couldn't talk, saying that "her TV program was on, and she had just too much knitting to do." Red suggested she could take the cable car up the mountain, bringing the sacred recipe book to Granny so that they'd be safe from the Goody Bandit, but Granny discouraged it saying that "a trip up the mountain is too dangerous for a little girl."
Granny hung up, and Red, irritated, decided to make the trip up the mountain anyway.
Thankfully, her friend Boingo the bunny is the cable car operator. As the cable car started heading up the mountain, they made small talk about the forest. Boingo warned Red to be careful, as the forest is a dangerous place with bears and wolves. They also talked about the Goody Bandit. Red, leaning up against the cable car doors, said:
"We need to stop the Goody Bandit and their evil plan. They'll shut down everyone in the forest if we don't stop them."
Boingo agreed, but just as Red was about to say something more, the doors to the cable car broke open and Red fell from the cable car. By a stroke of fate, she managed to do one vital thing before plummeting down into the forest:
<img src="https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/hoodwinked/images/0/07/Hoodwinked_boingo_red_fall.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110418074504" width="400px" height="300px" alt="Red falling">
[[Red grabs her goody basket with the sacred recipe book|plummet]]Miraculously, the trees broke Red's fall. She landed on the forest floor in a dense, shady part of the woods. Hearing growling, she looked towards the noise and gasped when she saw a pair of bright eyes staring out of the darkness at her.
<img src="http://forumcinemaslv.blob.core.windows.net/1012/Event_5858/gallery/e6d92dfe0b.jpg" width="400px" height="300px" alt="Red in dark woods">
The wolf stepped out from the trees. "Afternoon," he said. "Quite a bit of falling you did just there."
"Ah... you saw that," replied Red.
"What were you doing heading up in that cable car? And what do you have in that basket? It smells amazing."
"Umm, I have some goodies for my Granny."
"Granny? The Granny Puckett? The Goody Queen herself? I love her stuff. Now show me what's in the basket." The Wolf demanded.
"I'm not supposed to talk to strangers," declared Red. "And you know what -"
At that moment, a bright flash of light went off and Red, spooked, made a break for it. She could hear the Wolf calling after her as he gave chase. She managed to set a trap by hanging up her cape over a sudden cliff edge, ensuring that he'd fall into the river below and be swept away with the current. As he floated away, she could hear him call "You haven't seen the last of me. I'll get you and your little Granny too!"
[[Continue on to Granny's|Japeth]]Red then found an old trail up the side of the mountain, following it until she reached a ricketty old cabin. Sitting outside the cabin was an old billy goat who introduced himself in song as Japeth. Japeth told Red, or rather sang to Red, that 37 years ago a witch put a spell on him, ensuring everything he said was said in song.
<img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/2UOfEP0NZ7i-AUwhitliJXa_FVMXjqRGg5K5UiVeolchV5MrJ3Tc3MOx6P6KiLwG-432sYWw9BgC3U1VUtLXgJUlWCrHQ0DNCaLNUbSaPARsadOa2ik=w1200-h630-p-k-no-nu" width="400px" height="300px" alt="Japeth">
As Japeth sang to Red a little tune about the merits of preparation in life, she noticed that he had a map of an abandoned mine shaft system, one route of which was a direct path to Granny's house. She convinced Japeth to take her in the mine cart to Granny's, and off they went!
The mine cart trip was a near-death experience. First, they almost got buried by an avalanche, and then when they thought they'd gotten past the danger, they sped off a ramp that was no longer connected to the rest of the tracks! Pelted into the sky, Red saw what looked like an apparition of her Granny appear from the clouds, telling her to "use her hood."
Red took the advice, and using her red cloak as a parachute, she parachuted down towards Granny's house. Finally, she had made it to her Granny's.
[[Enter the house|confrontation]]Walking in, she called out her Granny's name. A voice replied, but it sounded a little... off.
<img src="https://www.movieberry.com/static/photos/2157/158_midi.jpg" width="400px" height="300px" alt="Wolf disguised as granny">
She saw her Granny sitting up in bed, so she walked over to her. "Granny! My, what big eyes you have!" she exclaimed.
Granny looked away, saying "All the better to see you with!"
"Granny, what big ears you have!" noticed Red.
"All the better to hear your... many criticisms," replied Granny.
"And Granny, what bad breath you have!" Red followed up.
"Alright, that's it," said Granny. Sitting up and taking off a mask that looked like Granny's image, the fake-Granny revealed themself to be none other than the Wolf!
"Ah! You crazy wolf!" shouted Red. "What did you do to my Granny?"
"I'm on to you --" started the Wolf, but before he could say anymore, a Hunstman suddenly crashed through the window, shouting at the top of his lungs and waving an axe around. Then, the real Granny burst out of the closet, all tied up!
That's right about when the police were called, says Red, ending her story.
[[End of Red's story|Guess]]Now that you've heard pieces of the puzzle, do you know who the Goody Bandit is? Or do you want to go hear the other suspects' stories?

[[Someone else|accusesomeoneelse]]For his job as a reporter, the Wolf has been following leads on the Goody Bandit to be the first to break the case. He and his trusty squirrel photographer Twitchy have been chasing clues for months.
<img src="https://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/hoodwinked/images/7/7c/Wolf_and_twitchy_hoodwinked.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110512075631" width="400px" height="300px" alt="the wolf and twitchy">
This day, he was following his normal leads when he came across Red. He thought she seemed suspicious, maybe a little too happy, and knew that she was related to the Goody tycoon Granny Puckett. So he and Twitchy decided to follow her, hoping that she'd lead them straight to the Goody Bandit.
He acquired a remote sensing device that allowed him to hear conversations from far away, and as Red rode the cable car up the mountain, he and Twitchy were in the forest below listening to her and Boingo's conversation. Unfortunately, his sensor didn't work super well, so all he managed to hear was "...evil plan... going to shut down everyone in this forest..." It was enough to know he had found the Goody Bandit.
He saw Red fall from the cable car to the forest below, and waited to see what she'd do, hoping she'd continue on to the secret hideout of the Bandit.
Right at that moment, his stomach growled loudly. He heard Red gasp and knew she'd seen him, so he stepped out to greet her.
During their conversation she was evasive, clearly not wanting to give him information because she knew it would implicate her in the crime.
Just as he was getting somewhere with the conversation, Twitchy fell out of the tree he'd been standing in, accidentally setting off his camera flash.
Red spooked and ran away. Trying to catch up with her so he could continue to grill her about being the bandit, the Wolf gave chase. He finally reached her and grabbed for her cloak, before realizing that it had been a trick. He fell off the cliff the hood had been hung on into the rushing river below. He splashed around, managing to yell out to Red that this wasn't the end, she and her Goody Bandit Granny wouldn't get away with their evil schemes.
[[Figure out your next move|shortucut]]A long ways downstream, the Wolf managed to swim to the bank of the river. He was sitting on a log, dejected, when Twitchy finally caught up with his camera. The two were talking about what to do next and how to get to Granny's house to confront them, when a bunny hopped on by.
<img src="http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/hoodwinked/images/7/7c/Hoodwinked_boingo_wolf_twitchy_shortcut.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110418074529" width="400px" height="300px" alt="Bunny's shortcut">
Overhearing their conversation, the Bunny chimed in: "You're going to Granny's to surprise Red? Why, is it her birthday or something? Oh, I love surprises! And guess what? I know a shortcut to Granny's!"
The Wolf and Twitchy locked eyes, and couldn't believe their luck.
Sadly, the shortcut wasn't as short as the Bunny had made it out to seem. The Wolf and Twitchy ended up wading through the river in a cave system, chased by an alligator, lost in the darkness until they came upon a ladder with light shining down on it from above.
They climbed the ladder, and it came out to an old mine cart track. Hopping in a minecart, the Wolf and Twitchy headed off in the direction of Granny's.
Their cart went through a dark tunnel for a while, and Twitchy said that he'd managed to find some candles in the bottom of the cart.
"Well what are you waiting for? Light those puppies up!" said the Wolf.
Twitchy lit one of the candles, commenting that it had a cool brand name on it and passing it to the Wolf to see. The Wolf screeched, reading that the cool brand name was Dynamite, and accidentally dropped the "candle" at the bottom of the cart, lighting all the other sticks of dynamite as well. Panicking, the Wolf and Twitchy threw all the sticks of dynamite out of the cart onto the track behind them. They barely made it out before a good portion of the track was exploded.
The Wolf thought he heard a scream in the distance, but wrote it off. He and Twitchy continued in the cart until they reached Granny's house.
[[Enter Granny's|enter]]
After knocking numerous times with no answer, the Wolf and Twitchy entered Granny's unlocked house. There, they found a frightening amount of "Granny Puckett's Unlawfully Delicious Goodies" merch, including a mask that was made to look like Granny's face.
The Wolf had an idea. Donning the mask, he decided to pretend to be Granny to get Red to confess to being part of the Goody Bandit scheme.
Then, he heard a knock at the door and Red's voice calling out Granny's name. Quickly, he threw Twitchy in a nearby closet, and hopped in Granny's bed. Red entered and walked over to him.
<img src="https://www.movieberry.com/static/photos/2157/158_midi.jpg" width="400px" height="300px" alt="Wolf disguised as granny">
"Granny! My, what big eyes you have!" she exclaimed.
The Wolf averted his gaze to seem less suspicious, covering by saying "All the better to see you with!"
"Granny, what big ears you have!" noticed Red.
"All the better to hear your... many criticisms," replied the Wolf, getting fed up.
"And Granny, what bad breath you have!" Red followed up.
"Alright, that's it," said the Wolf. This was getting him nowhere. Sitting up and taking off the mask he confronted Red. He was about to ask her about the Goody Bandit, when suddenly a Hunstman crashed through the window, shouting at the top of his lungs and waving an axe around. Then, the real Granny burst out of the closet, all tied up!
How this day had gotten so choatic, the Wolf had no idea. But he knew he was on to something big with the Goody Bandit.
[[End of the Wolf's story|Guess]]Kirk explains that today he'd started his day in the nearby town at an audition for a Paul's Bunion Cream commercial. It's always been his dream to be an actor.
At first, the producers didn't seem interested in him, and he left the audition with his head hanging. He went back to his part-time job as a Schnitzel Truck driver, selling schnitzel to the local children.
After stepping away, he returned to the truck to find that it had been ransacked, and all his schnitzel recipes had been stolen! The Goody Bandit had struck! All the children left, sad to not have any more schnitzel, and only Boingo the Bunny remained to consol Kirk.
<img src="https://pics.imcdb.org/0is259/hoodwinkedscnitzeltruckaf3.6673.jpg" width="400px" height="300px" alt="schnitzel van">
At that moment, Kirk got a call. It was the producers, and they told him they wanted him to come back in the following day. They suggested he really lean in to his inner woodsman. So, committing to his acting dream, Kirk left without delay to buy an axe and learn how to be a woodsman.
[[How to be a woodsman 101|axe]]After reading a book on how to use an axe, Kirk started skipping through the forest cutting down trees left and right. He spent the day doing this, until he came across the biggest tree he'd ever seen.
<img src="https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/hoodwinked/images/9/90/Hoodwinked_kirk_triumphant_laugh.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110512042545" width="400px" height="300px" alt="woodsman">
He spent hours cutting it down, to where he was nearly exhausted. Taking a break, he heard noise coming from the house down the hill from him. Just then, a loud cracking noise came from the tree now behind him.
He watched in horror as the tree fell over, rolling directly at him. Running away, he managed to jump onto the tree so that he was running on it as it rolled down the hill at breakneck speed towards the house. Thankfully for the house, the tree's motion was suddenly halted by two other standing trees. But less thankfully, Kirk was suddenly rocketed through the air, crashing through a window of the house.
Standing, he saw a Wolf and a little girl in a red hood squaring off, and an old woman suddenly emerge tied up from a closet in the room. He started screaming in surprise, and screamed even more when the others in the room began screaming as well.
That whole ordeal, just to find his inner woodsman.
[[End of the Huntsman's story|Guess]]Granny tells you about the Extreme Ski Competition she had today. She started off the day preparing her gear, when she got a call from Red. As much as she loves Red, she didn't have time to talk, as she needed to leave for the mountain to get there in time for the competition. Making some excuse, she hung up on Red and rushed off to the competition.
The mountain was packed, with people coming from all over to spectate. Navigating through the crowd, Granny apologized as she bumped into someone. She looked down and saw a Bunny holding a piece of paper on a clipboard.
"Well hello there," said Granny. "What do you have there?"
The bunny appeared nervous as he handed Granny the paper, asking shyly if she could give him her autograph and make it out to her 'biggest and cutest fan'. Granny complied before skiing off to meet with the rest of her team.
<img src="https://coub-anubis-a.akamaized.net/coub_storage/coub/simple/cw_image/a9630b777ac/53be7e280562597554d19/1484361872_00032.jpg" width="400px" height="300px" alt="ski granny">
Her team welcomed her, before continuing their conversation about the competing team that they'd heard was bad news. Very aggressive and rude, they advised Granny to steer clear of them.
The starting horn blared, and all the competitors lined up at the starting line. As the whistle blew, one of the competitors Granny's team had warned her about smashed one of Granny's skis, throwing her off balance and almost wiping her out before she managed to recover, using her one remaining ski like a snowboard.
Granny couldn't do anything as she watched the competing team take out her teammates one by one, sending them spiraling off into the snow. Granny raced as her opponents tailed her. One of them caught up to her and pushed her, sending her careening off the moutain. She managed to grab the cliff edge with her hands, barely holding on. As the opponent came up to her to finish the job, she grabbed his wrist.
"Who do you work for, young man?" she demanded.
"We were hired... by the Bandit!" he admitted, and then shoved her off the edge.
Thankfully, Granny managed to grab a root sticking out of the side of the cliff a few feet down. She overheard her opponents talking, saying that they had "gotten Granny," and now they were "going after the little girl in the red hood."
Red!
[[Save Red!|applesauce]]Attaching a bungee cord to her leg and to the root, Granny let go, plunging far down the cliff edge before rocketing back up, catching the edge of the cliff, and hoisting herself back onto the mountain. She saw her attackers skiing down the mountain, confident in their victory.
Murmuring "Oh applesauce", she grabbed a few explosives from her bag, throwing them behind her into the snow and speeding away on her remaining ski as they went off. The explosion created an avalanche, and Granny raced down the mountainside, zooming past the opposing team and managing to snag the 1st place trophy before the avalanche covered the mountain.
She skiied off the edge of the mountain and activated her parachute, flying through the sky back towards her house.
As she glided, her eyes went wide when she saw Red with a goat in a mine cart flying through the air below her. Urging the parachute lower, she coasted through a cloud, calling out to Red to use her cloak as a parachute.
Red did as she suggested, and Granny breathed a sigh of relief before continuing her glide. As she descended towards her house, Granny saw a wolf and a squirrel walking up her drive.
Sighing, she said "I guess it's just one of those days" and directed her chute to the chimney. She flew in down the chimney chute, but as she climbed out her parachute got stuck in the spinning ceiling fan.
It spun her around, getting her all tangled in the parachute cords, before releasing her and throwing her into her nearby closet.
Because of the parachute, her speech was muffled and she couldn't move as she heard a knock at the door and then voices as the wolf and squirrel entered. Then she heard Red's voice, and suddenly the closet door was thrust open for a moment as a squirrel was thrown at her face before it was closed again. She heard Red and the Wolf speaking, and started pounding on the closet. She finally managed to break down the door, and when she fell through to the room, she saw Red and the Wolf in a confrontation, and a man waving around an axe yelling.
<img src="https://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/3585/4045/1600/hoodwinked-728242.jpg" width="400px" height="300px" alt="tied up granny">
She couldn't say it was similar to any gathering she'd had in her house before.
[[End of Granny's story|Guess]]The truth is out in the open, and for a moment everyone is silent, processing the information. Then everyone kicks into action. While everyone tries to figure out where Boingo would be hiding, Red suggests trying an old abandoned cable car station at the top of the mountain.
Everyone moves out, determined to catch the Bandit. After a huge fight between the now ex-suspects and the evil ski team and Goody Bandit Bunny, you manage to stop Boingo from his evil plan. He was planning to send a cable car full of dynamite down the mountain to wipe out the forest, build his goody empire in the wreckage, and establish a monopoly on the goody industry with all the stolen recipes.
The heroes emerge victorious, the recipes returning to their rightful owners, and Boingo the Bunny and the evil ski team being arrested. The four ex-suspects seem to have formed a lasting friendship between them, and you and Mr. Flippers are successful once more.
Another happily ever after achieved.
The end.You accuse Red of being the Goody Bandit. She's too involved in the web of goodies and lies in town. Maybe she wanted to prove to her Granny that she could do big things of her own.
She's arrested, and you go home feeling good that the Goody Bandit will terrorize no more critters in the forest.
But the Goody Bandit strikes again.
[[Guess again|Bandit]]
[[Try again from the beginning|Intro]]You accuse the Wolf of being the Bandit. No way his story is the truth, when it frames Red and Granny so perfectly. What was he even doing stalking them? He has suspicious written all over him.
The Wolf is arrested, and the forest goes to sleep thinking that the terrible reign of the Goody Bandit is over.
The forest is wrong.
[[Guess again|Bandit]]
[[Try again from the beginning|Intro]]You accuse Kirk of being the Goody Bandit. His clueless woodsman act is a little too clueless to be believable. You see right through him.
Or so you thought. The Goody Bandit strikes again.
[[Guess again|Bandit]]
[[Try again from the beginning|Intro]]You accuse Granny of being the Bandit. How better to establish her goody empire than to eliminate all the competition. And based off her extreme sports hobby, she definitely has enough of a secret, cunning, thrill-seeking side to do it. The Goody Tycoon and the Goody Bandit must be the same person.
Or so you would think.
[[Guess again|Bandit]]
[[Try again from the beginning|Intro]]You hesitate, not convinced that any of the four suspects you've heard from are the Goody Bandit. You see Flippers tapping his fingers on the table, lost in thought.
"What is it?" you ask.
"Which one of these four am I arresting tonight?" rumbles Chief Grizzly. "You know what? Just book all of them."
"Hold up Chief," says Flippers with his wise voice. "There's more to this story than meets the eye. There's one person who has hippity hopped his way through each of the four stories. Who was there when Red fell from the cable car. Who knew a shortcut to Granny's house. Who was there when the Schnitzel van was robbed. And who works with evil ski teams."
"It can't be..." gasps the Chief.
"The bunny." you say with confidence. "The Goody Bandit is Boingo."
